A Story of... Service and Sacrifice.

Tom Donnelly has served on the FDNY’s Rescue 1 Unit for 25 years.

He led search and rescue teams at Ground Zero following 9/11, in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. A life long resident of Deer Park, Tom has served with the Deer Park Fire Department for 30 years, serving as commissioner for 10 years. He currently serves on the Babylon Town Council, where he’s kept taxes under the property tax cap, reduced the town’s debt and worked to improve our quality of life.

“While serving in the FDNY, I learned you have to put politics aside to do what’s best for the people you’re sworn to protect.”
